I have always been fascinated by what people find beautiful.

Loving the mess of the creative process is an inseparable part of that fascination. I have always been horrified by New York newcomers who, despite the cultural and aesthetic overload, only remark on the ‘un-beautiful’ aspects that make the city what it is. The other place I call home is often under similar fire; I’ve always come in staunch defense of Paris when accused of being grey, and rigid in its impenetrable beauty.

I defend not because I disagree. Rather, I counter with, ‘yes and?’ Something of high aesthetic value emerges from the seam between creativity and some kind of restraint. Without balance, there can be no distinction.

Calling these two cities and sensibilities home always comes through in my inspiration for clothing, campaigns, moods, and designs. I credit my commitment to absorbing as much of their museums, exhibits, ballets, plays, raves, speakeasies, cafés, and so on, for why I feel called to create beautiful images.

Shiffon Co.| 2017-2022

  • Served as the sole team member responsible for curating, posting, and monitoring Shiffon Co.'s social media presence, delivering growth reports and insight on trends during monthly shareholder meetings.

  • Provided mood boards, photoshoot styling, location scouting, shot lists, talent briefs, and on-set photography for fine jewelry still and video campaigns.

  • Led the digital aesthetic refresh of the Shiffon website, including color, typography, copywriting, customer experience.

  • Collaborated closely with Creative Director and multiple freelance partners.

  • Managed a team of five (editorial, social media, paid media, PR, creative) as well as several cycles of summer interns.

  • Developed a content approval system for key stakeholders and maintained a content plan set sixty days in advance.

  • Coordinated events, red carpet celebrity placements, popups, activations, photoshoots.

  • Oversaw day-to-day content planning and publishing across all social channels, developing aesthetic themes to match brand tone and audience behavior.

  • Played a key role in producing a weeklong Toronto pop-up: designing the layout to promote UGC, photographing and live-streaming key events such as outdoor yoga, candlemaking, and cocktail hours.

  • Conception of, production, and art direction of all social-first content: still image carousels, videos, animations, KOL + influencer collaborations, Instagram reels and stories.

  • Remote video and photographic direction with external partners in Seoul, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Paris, and London.

  • Direction of brand identity and creative for Phillips Jewels on all digital platforms.

  • Concept ideation, location & talent scouting, art direction, wardrobe styling, and photography for high jewelry editorial photoshoots in New York City.

  • Headed brand visual standardization, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and Creative Director in weekly content meetings.

  • Video campaign conception, scriptwriting, and on-set production for artist and collector interviews.
